As of June 2019, the RVMAC has held 3 Town Hall meetings to gain input for the updating of the 2004f Redwood Valley Community Action Plan. These meetings were held in 2017, 2018 (after delays due to deadly 2017 wildfire), and in May, 2019. Consultant Cliff Paulin is compiling all the comments into a Final Draft, fo presentation at another Town Hall, tentatively scheduled for Autumn of 2019. Thereafter, the MAC intends to approach the County Planning and Building Services Dept., the Planning Commission, and the Board of Supervisors to gain adoption of the Plan and its Design Guidelines into the County General Plan and Zoning Ordinance. These documents will form a community-based roadmap for future development of Redwood Valley inn accordance with our vision and wishes. Formal adoption may be a long process, but it’s a vital step to ensuring that local residents will have more power to assert our views toward the nature of future development in and around our community. So far, at least 150 local residents have participated in the process. Look for current and future posting of the current RV Area Plan draft documents on this website!
